Correct Thickness and Hardness of Stainless Steel:
The tile hook, with a thickness of 3 mm, is made from stainless steel (AISI) 304 wire. It is manufactured from a harder material than that of a Polish manufacturer, but softer than that from a German manufacturer. The material strength has been specially selected to achieve the highest possible Newton pull value. If the material is too soft, the tile hook bends excessively. If it is too hard, the tile batten can split.
Ribbing and Nail:
The ribbing on the nail has been enhanced and improved. The point of the nail is not centered but positioned precisely where the tile hook experiences the most pressure on the nail side. Thanks to the improved ribbing combined with the optimized nail point, the pull strength is even higher!
EN Test Report:
Tile hooks must comply with all European standards. These tile hooks come with an official EN-14437 test report or can be certified on a project basis, fully complying with all legal requirements.
Tile Hook Bending:
The bending section, which holds the roof tile in place, has also been improved. The bend makes better contact with the tile, providing increased grip.
Optimized Hook Lengths:
Over recent years, various manufacturers have adjusted hook lengths. This is mainly due to German roof battens being thicker, requiring different dimensions for specific roof tiles than previously prescribed.
Need Help with Driving Depth?
The ribbing on the tile hook continues up to the point where it should be driven into the batten. When you see the last ribbing enter the batten, the hook has been driven in correctly. However, in practice, not all tile hooks can always be driven to the same depth for every type of roof tile. Unfortunately, this is an ideal that cannot always be achieved.
